Description

The following text is printed in glaze on the reverse side of the ornament:

The Claddagh” design is one of Ireland's unique treasures. Although it’s origin is steeped in legend it traditionally symbolizes Friendship (the hands), Love (the heart) and Loyalty (the crown).

Over 300 years ago in a fishing village called Claddagh overlooking Galway Bay, lived Richard Joyce a master goldsmith. It was he who crafted this famous ring design which has come to denote pride in Irish heritage, while continuing to be a symbol of friendship, love and marriage.

The ornaments, which are available in both Red and Green are 3 inches in diameter and include a golden chord for hanging. They are packaged in a clear fronted 3 1/2 inch square gift box with foam cushion.

With the wall hanging accessory the ornaments can be enjoyed year round as wall or window decorations.
