New grange Triple Spiral
This Triple spiral comes from carvings at New Grange, Co. Meath. New Grange is an ancient burial site older than the pyramids or Stonehenge, dated about 3000 B.C. It is believed to be where the great Kings were buried and is the largest Cairn in the world. The sprial represents the symbol of three: male, female, child; love, birth, death; the flowing continuity of life.
This Wild Goose Studio piece comes in cast iron or bronze, as shown. Cast iron pieces are for indoor use only. Bronze pieces can be placed outdoors where they will acquire a green patina over time.
