St. Kevin of Glendalough
This the moving story of the celebrated Hermitage of Glendalough, Saint Kevin, who prayed with outstreached arms in a kitchen so small that one arm had to reach out of the window. Rapt in prayer his hand was so still that a bird made its nest in it. He kept his hand there until the eggs hatched. This plaque is a delightful Celtic story, told with humour. A gift for anyone named Kevin. You can visit his kitchen at Glendalough, which still has a mysterious magical beauty. This Wild Goose Studio piece comes in cast iron or bronze, as shown. Cast iron pieces are for indoor use only. Bronze pieces can be placed outdoors where they will acquire a green patina over time.
