Traditional St. Brigid's Cross
St. Brigid is the patron saint of Ireland. The original St. Brigid's Cross was made of straw and was meant to protect the household and invoke the blessing of Ireland's most important female figure, the patron of crafts, poets, healers, midwives and doctors.
This Wild Goose Studio cross comes in cast iron or bronze. Cast iron pieces are for indoor use only. Bronze pieces can be placed outdoors where they will acquire a green patina over time.
