Celtic Love Cross
To make this design the artist, Kathleen Smyth, immersed herself in the writings of the French priest, scientist and prophet Teilhard de Chardin. The four Celtic panels signify the essence of his thought about love between man and woman. 'The day will come when, after mastering the winds, the tides, gravity, we shall master the energies of love ... and then, for te second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire' (woman has discovered it already?). Wild Goose Studio. 6" diameter. This Wild Goose Studio piece comes in cast iron or bronze. Cast iron pieces are for indoor use only. Bronze pieces can be placed outdoors where they will acquire a green patina over time.
